We offer two main types of insulated slats for our roller garage doors: the 55 mm and the 77 mm. The 55 mm version uses a 14 mm foam-filled aluminium curtain and requires a 205 mm top box, while the 77 mm version uses a thicker 19 mm curtain with a 300 mm top box. The thicker slat gives better insulation and noise reduction, but both options are highly durable and fully compliant with UKCA standards.

How accurately do I need to measure, and how do I submit my sizes?

It’s essential to measure as precisely as possible, ideally to within five millimetres. When you order, you’ll be prompted to enter your dimensions on our Garage Door Builder form. This includes the width and height of your opening, the size of the pillars, the headroom available, and the position for the guide runners. Are the doors insulated?

Yes, all of our roller garage doors are made using foam-filled aluminium, which provides strong thermal insulation and effective sound reduction. Both types outperform standard steel doors by a considerable margin when it comes to keeping the cold out and noise down.

What are the installation options and how long does it take?

You can choose to fit the door yourself or arrange for professional installation if you’re in East Anglia. If you’re handy with basic tools, most people can install a door in four to six hours with a bit of help. If you prefer to have it fitted for you, our experienced installers can usually complete the job in three to five hours.

Can I open my door during a power cut?

Absolutely. Every door comes with an internal manual winding handle, so you can operate it even if the electricity goes off. For garages without a side entrance, you can also add an external override kit, so you’re never stuck outside.

How long will delivery take?
